OK, this is a bit of a no-brainer. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll know that internal-combustion engines in general, and V8 engines in particular, aren’t long for this world. Hell, Jaguar Land Rover recently announced a goal of net-zero carbon emissions by 2030.

So if you love the smell of gasoline, and have the chance to buy a 518 horsepower off-roader that can crawl over rocks, make the sprint to 60 in less than five seconds, and hit 150 mph, you should do it. There’s a wild wonderful future on the horizon — but I’d be remiss not to mention that the Defender V8 is already an endangered species.

Well, there you have it, every single reason to buy the 2022 Land Rover Defender! Just kidding.
