Changed out my cd's and now the HU says 'no disk' everytime I select CD mode. I have tried pulling the new ones out and using the old CD's and that did not help.

I drive half hour to 45 minutes to and from work and the radio stations here SUCK!!! Same song at the same time, EVERY day.

So any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

 

The CD changer/player often fails and I have several broken units. A common failure is the drive motor won't spin the CD so it says NO DISC because the laser won't read a non moving CD. A used one can be had from eBay or other places like salvage yards. Any changer from an early X100 (1997 to 2002) or X308 (1998 to 2003) will work.

Tore mine apart and got it working, but now it skips at the slightest bump.

I put the springs back on and the 4 rubber bushings, what did I do wrong?

 

The CD player in the trunk of my 2001 XK8 skips at the slightest bump in the road. Very annoying. I have removed the player and inspected it carefully and can find nothing wrong. Has anyone else on this board experienced the same problem? and if so what was your corrective action.


Someone, please help. Hate to buy a new one.
