Bluetooth Install - Veffremov's Kit
any chance you would be willing to make this an open source project and share your schematics, parts list, and applicable coding?
When you do, if you do, I want one!
Can I register somewhere?
Thanks,
Mark B.
Here is the schematics of the D2B board. https://goo.gl/zBroxo
The other component is a Raspberry Pi. In the older versions I used A+ models, in the newer ones I use Pi Zero.
Here are instructions how to re-build the software for the Pi, for the enthusiasts: https://goo.gl/sK8ZBV

@trosty the kit should have 2 USB cables one long (6ft) and one short(1ft), connect the short cable to the device then the long cable to the short one, finally the end of the long cable is connected to the USB dongle and that is mounted on the rear shelf close to the speakers.
Route the USB cables so you will have easy access where the short cable connects with the long cable. To perform SW update disconnect the long cable from the short cable and plug a USB stick.
I personally let the two USB cable junction hang from the stack and behind the door for easy access. See pic.

Unfortunately they are not. You could check to see if someone may be selling there's, or look up "JagDroid" which is quite a bit more in cost, but really modernized for our cars...
Awesome - thanks for this info. I think you've just given me a project for my next holiday..... and emptied my wallet somewhat. However, as you say, it looks like the JagDroid systrem will completely modernise the experience.
I have the veffremov's module, but forgot how to reset the paired devices list, which if I remember correctly has only 5 slots and now can't pair another device. It was supposed to be done through a sequence of selecting "disks" on the cd changer interface. If anyone has the details, I will highly appreciate it!
Love this streamer. Its great.
Thanks.
