Default cd player question

Hello I own an 02 X-type with the tape deck. I am looking to replace it with a stock head unit cd player from an 04 jag that i found on ebay. Will there be any kind of adaptation needed to install this cd player? I am assuming not but i just want to clarify thanks for the help

I'd just do it up peewee from what i've seen its not that hard to rip the radio's out and swap the other one in...you'll always be able to sell the other one either way...whats the price on the one on the internet??? You try looking for an aftermarket unit??? Let me know and I can get you a deal on pretty much all cd players...

thanks for the help aquill1. i figured that the cd player will have all the same hookups as my cassette deck but knowing jaguar i am just worried that it wont turn on since it doesnt have the same ammount of speakers etc as the 04 jag it came from and that jag had the premium sound system so it might be tricky and then again it might be as easy as connecting it to the harness. i dont know

Just try it and find out because you have nothing to lose...the removal of the stock radio isn't that bad!
