I'm just trying to program my new key fob for my 2003 s type. Every instructional recommendation online hasn't worked. I've called dealers, no one has the process down. Any recommendations? Thank you everyone! -Anthony

 

Adding a new key on an S-type requires the use of the Jaguar IDS/SDD system; it also requires two working keys to be present. Work arounds that appear in various on-line fora may be okay on other models are not applicable to the S-type. Unfortunately, many dealers are not really thrilled to work on an "older" Jag like the S-type and some will flat out refuse to do so.

You might want to ask in the S-type tech forum. or post in the appropriate Regional forum (Deutschland or Delaware) and see if a member with a cloned copy of the program is willing to lend a hand. A word of caution, the IDS/SDD program is powerful software can brick your Jag if used incorrectly.
