No sound from premium Alphine stereo??

No sound from premium Alphine stereo??

I have an '03 S-Type R. It has the premium Alpine system with Navigation, phone and iPod connector. Yesterday I stopped getting any sound whatsoever from the stereo. I don't get any audio from the Nav System, radio, CD etc. Any ideas?

Rodneyat, check fuse F26 (30 amp fuse) in the rear power distribution box. That is the fuse for the amplifier. But, if that fuse is good, then you are more than likely looking at a failed amplifier. You can verify that the amp is getting power by checking pins #3 and #9 to the connector on the amplifier. So, as long as you have 12 VDC there, then all the power input is good and leads to a bad amp.

Did you do anything just prior to it going quiet...or was it a 'turned it on, and nada'?

Thx. I actually looked at the fuse and it was ok. I decided to disconnect the battery to get the system to reset. That actually did the trick. Gotta love the Brits!
