My Vanden Plas did not come with the upgraded sound system....and the standarn speakers sound horrible. Is this age or just the way it came? I am one who likes everything on a car to remain stock so I debating ordering all new OEM Jaguar speakers. Any suggestions? I certainly do not want to change out the factory radio.

My VDP sounds a bit crappy as well, and I would like to give it a bit of 'oomph' without installing amps and subs.

I would like to install new good quality speakers, and would like some thoughts on this. Any recommendations for speakers, or anything I have to look out for during selection or install?

 

Same here. 1995 VDP sans premium sound. Any bass at all and the right front door speaker makes horrid flopping / rattling sound. More bass means that one is worse and some of the others start.
