Gentle Hello from a Ghost From The Past!
Hello all . . .
Several years have passed since I last disgraced these columns with my exuberant ignorance of all things Jaguar. I have missed the fun, the sharing of knowledge, banter, sledging and downright lies! I won't apologise for my long absence . . . truth is, it has taken me years with lots of support from long time friends here (thanks Doug & Lois, and Clarke in Qld; Jim in NSW).
So, what's new? Well, both the S1 E-Type of 40 years ownership and my co-pilot sweetheart of 47 years marriage, have both departed. The beautiful E has been totally restored to pristine condition while my daughter Megs has emerged as enthusiastic owner of my former UK spec 4.2L XK8 . . . although she tends to push it even harder than her mother on the SII V12 Vanden Plas.
As a result, Ken's Kattery has swelled somewhat, but they are all a collection of tales for another time. Just want to reach, say hello and thanks, and wish you all well.
Keep yer pistons pumpin' . . . preferably inside the block, and well clear of those terrifyingly close valve heads . . . although anything less than 6,000 is just coastin', eh?
Cheers,
Ken
