Default jag 1998 xjR supercharged

I own a 1998 xj8 3.2L and in the hunt for some more Hp, is it possible to change the crank to make a 90.3mm stroke
then fit a supercharger ?
all I get from wreckers is the xjr 4.0L SC is a totally different engine, well yes it is but!
it like the AJ26 does not use vvt which makes me think it can be done
I dont mind buying another engine but dont want all the timing hassels with vvt & controls/sensors
help pls
