Can't help thinking just what a similar car that required above work,RWC and registration would be worth in Victoria/Australia right now with 210K kilometres showing?

$12990 is the answer to your question - that is, without RWC or rego. Cost me a little under $6K so I am happy. Got to drive the big whale around the suburbs a few times (it's not for me). Windscreen was $300, paint chips were $250 and the trim fix cost nothing - just the new owner's time. Given he's managed to get a Sovereign (one of only 2 for sale in Aus with the 4ltr V8 which he felt was important) with RWC and rego for under $14K, he's happy too.

I'm sourcing him a newer steering wheel ex UK - won't cost him too much.

He now will be putting it up for sale and leaving it there at $19K whilst he keeps it.

Next question....what's my 2008 (MY2009) X-Type Luxury model worth in this market.....I'm about to find out. Low 20's is my guess, which I will be happy with...
