Dear Guys

I would very much like to know if anyone can recommend a good Jaguar mechanic near to Newcastle, NSW. Sadly, the Jaguar dealer which is situated just ten minutes drive up the road from me only services new Jaguars and not older cars like my 2003 S-Type R. Is it just me or does that sound like business suicide by Jaguar?

I purchased an S type recently from Morisset and the owner said he was
getting his serviced at Triggs at Toronto , might be a bit of a drive if you are in Newcastle.
They specialise more to Rover. Range Rover and Land Rover.

I can hardly believe they would turn away business like that. It's madness.
From a business point of view it makes no sense whatsoever, why would you go back to them to buy a new car after they turned you away?

I did a quick google to see who the dealer in Newcastle is, and had to laugh when I saw their website with "2011 model runout" on the front page, seriously bad, bad, bad....that's embarrassing.

Who there told you they wouldn't service you? I would have asked to speak to the dealer principal and give him a piece of my mind.

Good advice from nww69, contact the local Jag club, i'm sure they have the right connections.

Actually the more I think about this, you should contact Jaguar HQ in Sydney & tell them about what happened, cause that sort of thing is just not on... try calling Mark Eedle, Brand Manager for Jaguar Australia. 9020 1400 is the switchboard.
