Many will be familiar with the website [MyPlates.com.au] and that this business is fully owned and operated by this State's RMS.

Perhaps members are less aware that the online facility for checking and ordering from the range of Personal Plates has been plagued with errors - whether availability or order process. Having negotiated this yet again over recent weeks for my "new" but yet to arrive XK8, I thought it wise to share an update . . .

All the plates [99.JAG] where 99 represents numerals, are now GONE from 90s through to 2010. I do know that [85.JAG] is still available - perhaps others also - but please double check at your local Motor Registry, so often unreliable is the public online facility.

Finding an available number/letter or letter/number combination may be frustrating, but the range is now quite extensive - and the prices moderate for the less customized versions. Not to everyone's taste or budget, I realize, but I hope this info may help others.
