Regrettably, as well as Neil [Kove] being unavailable, Steve [yarpos] was always dependent on linking dates to his hols at PMQ. We are still 8 at this stage (that's 10 cars) with plenty of "can rattling" to go. So . . . don't be bashful . . . dive in . . . promises to be a great get-away in Tenterfield.

This looks like a great weekend away. Thinking of travelling in the support vehicle
( Toyota Kluger) with a few basic tools on board. Hope this is ok with you fellow die hard Jag boys. I think Lilly Jagsit may be keen to come along as well.

 

Great idea...I for one will be driving a 43 yo vehicle so your support will be much appreciated.

Aaaah . . . I have been authorized to ask if your support vehicle has a tow hitch capable of pulling a 2ton Jaguar with both mufflers dragging?

Ah, no not in the Jag. I'll be racing my newly built drag bike & REALLY looking forward to going back to full time racing after a 4 year layoff.

 

Ken, It's the wife's car so it can tow anything,lol. looking forward to catching up.

 

Sorry about the nogo for Tenterfield but we got back our acceptance for a rally in Victoria from March 19 - 25th 2017 which should be a bit of fun.

Sorry folks . . . been away; been back; been buildin' and much is nearing completion. Both my '79 Jags have arrived and are tucked away - the red SIII XJ6 is a cracker, absolutely beautiful - as a contrast, the BRG XJ-S is the greatest "bucket of bolts" ever seen. It's been christened my "Barney Rubble Project Car" . . . look Mum; no floors!

Paul; I'm tinkin' I should start a ring around of Tenterfield accommodation, rates, contact numbers etc and post results. Of course, any of us is free to do so independently, but I suspect a "club negotiated multiple room rate" might be attractve - especially if coupled to in house restaurant booking as well. I won't get much time till Thursday . . . expect their rates Friday . . . so I expect to post back on weekend. OK?

Yep Paul . . . will do. Having a bit of a health scare at present otherwise I intended to have done so by now and reported back. Birth of new grandchild expected in Sydney in New Year, so I will be away from 5th to 9th Jan, but will jump on this and post results.

Congrats on your new harness . . . sounds very S & M doesn't it . . . unless you own a V12 Jag! But then . . . such ownership must be the ULTIMATE S & M (apologies to Grant Francis).
