There is room for a 40 x 50m shed but "her indoors" wants to see the back yard. I was originally thinking of 12 x 15 but with comprimise 19 x 7 works for me. Got to be better than the old 6 x 6 garage on a goat track.

 

No shed yet, but we are in and the garage and trailer/mower shed down the back is more room than I have ever had so as a stop gap it works. Fireball is out in the frost tonight.
Only emptied the garage of boxes today so tomorrow she will have a new home. Still 5 bikes to bring up from brisbane, garage will be full.

 

Wow! That frost looks nasty. Hope you don't get too many of those.

Bought a fire place, it is going in next week. Way colder than Brisbane and it really cools down from about 4pm.

I'm used to the UK/Australia time difference but reversed seasons throw me completely. It's the longest day of the year here tomorrow.

Now 10 days behind schedule for the shed. It is supposed to be the dry season. I was expecting to have the slab down 24 June. Now not going to happen before 8 July. Way too wet this week.
So I guess I'll have to enjoy the sunset a few more weeks before it is blocked by the shed. I have told "her indoors" it won't block the sunset, it will just happen a few minutes earlier while looking out over the shed.

Now 18 days behind where I thought we would be, They were supposed to be erecting the shed 5 days ago and still too wet to lay a slab. I got the jeep a bit stuck just getting the trailer out. Had to head down to Brisbane to pick up the last 3 bikes I have no f'ing shed for. 3 bikes under tarps down the back in what her indoors calls the "Bike Graveyard".
She is a dis believer, I will do something with them one day.

I can sympathise - I've been looking for an opportunity to finish some outside painting for the last three weeks.

Winter is our dry season, It never rains this time of year unless I'm trying to get a shed built.

 

Funny how "Mother Nature' messes up the best of plans. You Have seen anyone herding 2 of each animal yet? have you??? LOL. God willing I hope it dries out for you.

Finished rebuilding the retaining wall beside the small shed yesterday.
Had to bucket out 120 cubic meters of dirt with the tractor bucket and backhoe

Now the wall looks great with hardwood look concrete sleepers time to work on the small shed

Made the decision today its easier to start again so had my shed guy over today and ordered a new one
It's 22m x 6m with 3.6 eaves which seems kinda small compared to the big shed

Finally things are happening.
388 square meter pour. Bit the bullet and went the whole hog with driveway to garage and shed.

 

Great to have lots of help. I had several over to help, and we did it the hard way with a float. When I added the second 24' x 24' I had the concrete professionally done. It was worth the money. I just wish I had the knowledge when I did the first side, we could have done a better job.

I know my concreting skills, they extend to a kids to sandpit quality. I had professionals do the lot.
