Gentle Hello from a Ghost From The Past
Hello all . . .
Several years have passed since I last disgraced these columns with my exuberant ignorance of all things Jaguar. I have missed the fun, the sharing of knowledge, banter, sledging and downright lies! I won't apologise for my long absence . . . truth is, it has taken me years with lots of support from long time friends here (thanks Doug & Lois, and Clarke in Qld; Jim in NSW).
So, what's new? Well, both the S1 E-Type of 40 years ownership and my co-pilot sweetheart of 47 years marriage, have both departed. The beautiful E has been totally restored to pristine condition while my daughter Megs has emerged as enthusiastic owner of my former UK spec 4.2L XK8 . . . although she tends to push it even harder than her mother on the SII V12 Vanden Plas.
As a result, Ken's Kattery has swelled somewhat, but they are all a collection of tales for another time. Just want to reach out, say hello and thanks, and wish you all well.
Keep yer pistons pumpin' . . . preferably inside the block, and well clear of those terrifyingly close valve heads . . . although anything less than 6,000 is just coastin', eh?
Cheers,
Ken

Always good to hear from you Ken and Megs. We think of you often, especially as the nights get colder. Glad we're in Queensland - always a warm welcome for you here too.
All the best,
Doug and Lois.
All the best,
Doug and Lois.
Thanks fellas,
Actually, by my count, it is I who is running out the welcome mat of hospitality . . . still gathering details of the monster car show planned in conjunction with this year's round of the World Championship Rally at Coffs Harbour in November. Co-ordinator is a friend of my daughter Megan's and we have him drooling with the prospect of assembling a display of Jaguars, JF bannering etc . . . the whole lot, as per Ballina of several years ago. Plans include space for a total of 600 cars, including feature of the WRC entrants. More details to follow, but Megs and I are dusting off our JF shirts, and polishing up the *****-cats!
Cheers

Might pay to start its own post see how many are thinking of going!
I had completely forgotten how to track down info on this event It's been a few years but if my suspension is sorted I'd like to go
