Sovereign Auto Repairs Kent Town.
Hi all,
I used these guys for the first time in July this year.
Very thorough service and report attached including items requiring further diagnostics. They have Auto-Logic Diagnostics ie access to OEM factory software updates etc. Excellent.
When I picked up the car they went through it all and said they would email estimates for further work. 15 modules with faults, 18 modules not responding. Some faults potentially very serious.
So I waited and waited - nothing. So I called them up and spoke to someone who looked up the report and said, oh, i will get right on it, i will go to spares department and get an email out today.
That was 3 weeks ago and still nothing.
I am reluctant to go back again or even use the for basic service.
Anyone else used them?

I've been using Sovereign Auto Services for about the last 30 years. Okay nobody in this world is perfect, and once or twice I've got a bit frustrated with them, but it's usually turned out to be my own stupid fault. But they always do the right thing, they don't bullshit about what my car needs done, always show me the parts that are worn and so on, and never charge me for work not done - as so many other service mechanics are fond of doing.
My first Jag was a series 3 XJ6 back in the early 90s, when Sovereign was owned and run by Geoff Mockford and Graham Clark. Geoff helped me acquire my XJ40 when I destroyed the engine of the XJ6. Eventually Geoff retired, and now Graham has retired too, but his sons Anthony and Ashley are carrying on the tradition of giving excellent service to Jag owners, and more recently many other Brit and European cars too.
My current car, which I've had for about 10 years, is a 1998 XJR X308 Supercharged, which is still running perfectly thanks to Sovereign Autos. Quite honestly, I wouldn't trust my car to any other service company.
I hope that helps.
