Thanks for adding my name to the list. As you can guess from my name, I have a mk2 - 1964 baby I.e. 2.4 litre. Had it for a couple of years although had a similar one about 35 years ago.
I'm based in Hillbank and semi retired. I also often frequent Mawson Lakes, which appears to be popular...

G'day Pat.
I think I might have seen your Mk 2 a couple of times, seeing as I live in Mawson Lakes (and I'm also retired!).
Just found this place, just bought my first Jaguar, that explains why I came looking I guess
It's a 2010 XF 3.0ltr 6 cyl, I bought spare of the moment on a Pickles Salvage auction online in Canberra .... it apparently has electrical and mechanical problems .... how lucky am I Wife doesn't know yet ........
We live in Mannum, moved here from the Illawarra area ro buy a workshop we could afford and start a lithium and solar for RV's type business ...... that was burnt to the ground 15 mths ago ......
Bought a new to use motorhome, travelled back to the east coast for about 10 weeks, arrived home on the Sunday evening, drove the wife into Murray Bridge to Doctors appointment Tuesday, to gat a phone call that the garage, motorhome and house were on fire ..... and that lot burnt to the ground
So now we have a slab of concrete where the workshop was, a pile of corrugated iron, twisted metal and ash where the house once was .... and a few vehicles.
Probably a bit manic and just wanted something nice, and this one certainly looks nice, just gotta go and collect it and get it going Even the engine isn't something I recognise as a 6 cyl

Thanks for the add to the list and guide to where I might find fixes for my latest purchase.
Still have to finish fixing my truck after the workshop fire, melted lights, bunt tyre sidewalls, melted plastic guard and melted fuel lines and by the way it loses air, melted or burnt air lines .... and what ever turns up after that lot
When the truck is finished, I can re-register it and head up to Canberra to collect my prize purchase ..... gotta be happy getting this gem for a steal ... well, if I can fix it, I'm guessing that is why it was at a salvage auction, they simply gave up throwing money at it. Judging by the cobwebs, it hasn't been on the road for a while .... the sticky tape residue and plastic sheets on the back seat, they also had issues closing the rear windows
OK, I finally have the 2010 XF on my truck, a major exercise because the rear wheels won't turn because ... I'm guessing, the park brake is applied, and the transmission is in park. It seems the key fob is still at the Fyswick auction house, the only key I received at least opened the boot. A jumper lead connection light up the dash, but that was it ....... More studying required me thinks

Good luck. X250 section is your best bet.
There are some very knowledgeable people on here and a couple in Adelaide. Not sure about mannum.
Perhaps get a code reader. Recommend an autel AP200.
You might need a full SDD.
Might be an idea to keep it on the truck for now in case you need to take it to specialist
T1 Terry,
If you are lucky the EPB (Electronic Parking Brake) is not engaged and the only thing stopping the rear wheels from turning is that the gearbox is in P (Park).
There is as fairly easy way to get it out of P and into N (Neutral) by releasing the Park pawl, see attachment:

Thanks, I did try that, but it still wouldn't move, so the Electronic Park Brake must also be engaged .... now to find out how that is released
