Its an 83, its in nice condition for its age and most importantly no rust (or at least no rust that I have discovered). Dont think it was getting much love in recent years , so weve been slowly working through it to get it to the stage I feel confident with it on longer trips, almost there.

that's awesome mate. I have an 85. I bought it off my father and have just rebuilt the head. I'm slowly taking it further and further from home haha.
I have the usual rust around the front and rear windows, and the bottom front corner of both rear doors. other than that, its spotless!

Mines had rust previously done at the front windows so its there waiting for me. Come along to the next run and you can pick over it all you like. I understand you might be looking to do a conversion , so seeing a finished one might help your thinking on layout, mounts etc.

absolutely looking at a 308-383 conversion down the track! its a few years away yet. I'll do my best to get to a run. between work, the kids and the kilometers, it's a fair mission haha
