My father has just decided he is having his birthday lunch (50th) on Sunday which is unfortunately something I cant get out of so I will be unable to attend. I had hoped he would do it Saturday so I could come as I was looking forward to getting the jag out and meeting my like minded forum friends, especially since the jag hasn't had a good run in a few months.

We will have to organize a drive down to Point Nepean or up into central Victoria when the weather improves a bit more, although heat is not a jags friend!

Thanks,

Jay

Thanks for the updates guys, best to know in advance if people cant make it.

We now have a small, but select group of:

Yarpos + 2
Jagent + 1
Gippsland +1
Hawken +1

Anyone lurking out there who hasnt yet put their hand up, is of course most welcome. If your Jag is sick or wounded please feel free to come along in something else , you may learn some useful stuff over lunch.

We will be at the Hallam Pub at about 10AM, and plan to leave at 10:45. The car park is massive and fairly empty Sunday AM. Its located at the corner of the Princes Hwy and Hallam Road South (entry off Hallam Rd Sth). Exit off the Monash at the Belgrave-Hallam Road exit.

The route is generally towards Gembrook via Clematis, Emerald, Cockatoo. The nicest part of the drive is the back half from Gembrook to Launching Place.

Any problems on the day please give me a call. I will send starters my mobile number via PM.

See you Sunday, Cheers, Steve

like your optimism, and if I lived in Melbourne that might even work, but it falls apart rapidly for non mainstream locations like mine.

Maybe if this leads to another event we can arrange something. I guess it also means we need to know who to ask, and in some cases that the banner thing even exists and what its about (for newbie organisers like me). I asked a while ago when I saw people talking about it so I have a basic idea what you are talking about.

The banner for AU/NZ is currently sitting in my hallway waiting to be sent out.

I had contacted both RC's for VIC/TAS, but the reply from one was that he is ill & stepping down, and I got no reply from the other hence me posting here asking where to send this banner...

Too late now as you say...

Jim/Cambo, I am hoping this will be the first of a few runs and now we know people are keen for the banner thing to happen we can include it in planning. Our group is widespread which makes it difficult for all to turn up (above and beyond life getting in the way as it does sometimes). The upside however is that we have people with local knowledge of some interesting areas, so we shouldnt be short of options.

Just back now. Everyone had a good time, including partners, so we are off to a good start. Some talk at the end about the next one so thats promising. Hopefully we can get a few more involved for the next one. The MG car club was at the lunch stop, made the car park interesting.

Will post some pics once I get them downloaded and sorted.

Thanks for organizing the run Steve. A great day out.
Good driving roads, good cars, good company, good Pub. It doesn't get any better.

Ditto Steve & Ken, my good lady and I thoroughly enjoyed the day out. A superb run and great company. Since we all lined up and took pretty much the same shots my pics are similar to those above. Anyhow it's good to see our three cats looking glorious in the sunshine. Look forward to more meets in the future and would be good if some others in this part of the world were able to join in.

Cheers,

Hi Tony, yes I think we should pick up some more starters for the next one (700 views and 3 cars?). Either that or we are far more interesting than we think!
