Smile Finally jumped

Well I've been lurking around here for a while gathering valuable hints and info.
Been looking for a 3.8 Mk2 manual since before Xmas and was losing hope that there were any good ones to be had in OZ.
The good news is I've found a 61 model that I'm happy with.
She's not perfect, but looks presentable and drives OK. A few upgrades have been performed over the years (Front seats, AC, XJ6 Front brakes, Syncro box, paint, electric power steering.)
I pick her up in a couple of days and then the fun will start.
The first thing that needs replacing is the Felt? edge trim around the door openings.
A source for this would be appreciated.
Then I'll start on the chrome.

Congratulations!
It certainly looks like a very nice and presentable example. I did allot of work on a mk2 daimler with the 250 v8 and it ended up a very nice car to drive and look at. There is defiantly some old world charm about that beautiful dash and leather.

Im sure we all look forward to seeing and hearing more, hopefully it will make an appearance at future events.

Regards,
Jay

Hi Hawken,
I'm pretty much new to the forum as well, so welcome. I am located in Hobart. Anyway, my 'cat' is a Jaguar Mark 7M, and I have found that the UK is the best source for our classics. I have found Woolies Trim a valuable source for trim, and if they can't supply something close to the original in your MK2 I'd be very surprised. Hope this helps

Thanks for the link. The Furflex draught excluder is just what I'm after.
