radio code

I have my supplied radio code and have tried the suggested by pass with no success. Does anyone have a suggestion please. The radio is the standard radio in my 1996 XJ sport.

I had an X300 a few years back and I don't recall that it had or needed a radio code, but my memory might be playing tricks! Anyhow check in the X300 section, someone will confirm.
