Remote locking annoying
it will self lock with door open
when locked won't unlock with remote only key
unlock remote but rear door still locked can't even open by hand.
with all the above fault they can right it's self no help from me

 

I have lost the remote locking on one rear door (replacement awaiting fitting) so set to locked permanently since when, I have had to press the lock on remote or turn the key in door lock twice to get the operating rear door to lock. The front ones lock on first ask. No help, but just to let you know you’re not alone!! :-)

 

If you are looking for help, you might need to:

a) say what model car you are talking about

b) post the question in the forum related to that model car

this will get more eyes on your question and perhaps people with specific knowledge

 

I’m was seeking neither assistance or advice for this problem, merely commenting. The post I responded to was attached to mine and the posted responses. All info about year and model I own is available in my published info for anyone interested to see.

he has a 2000 S Type, got rid of the one i had...not worth the trouble.........damn - might be the guy who bought my crappy S Type

 

As the OP Elliott Noad posted three versions of this question but was last on the forum 12th September 2017 only a few hours after posting this one, I suspect the problem has also gone away.
