Default VIC/TAS activities

Each time I post something relating to a run (or pretty much anything) I get 250 views give or take. Lets discount 50 views from interested bystanders , so maybe 200 ish viewers.

Yet when we do something its only the same group of half a dozen very nice people turn up.

I would just like to hurl a question out into the void and see if anything comes back. Is there some other kind of event , timing of event that would interest people or allow them to come along if they are currently unable?

I understand that not everyone is socially oriented and that a group of new people may be daunting, or just not interesting, or not the desired socio-economic strata. However if people are interested in doing something , and that something hasnt presented itself, I would be interested to know what it is?

Personally I quite like the group of people we have that turn up and would be happy to socialise with them anytime JF or not. My inquisitive nature just wonders about the other 200 viewers :-)

We have much the same up here Steve, we have an active group of about 20 members but tend to get a mix of 5-10 each time we do something.

We try to mix it up a bit, drives, gokarting, lunches, track days, a couple of meets with NSW members as well. We have thrown it out there for ideas that would interest new people joining us but not really much feedback.

All British Day seems to attract the most interest.

Our group is the same, with or without JF they are now people I call friends.
But we are always looking for more people to join us.

I'd be interested if the mods have any statistics on the views for a thread.
I suspect most of the viewers don't live in Victoria or even Australia.

Wot? you mean like you Ken ? :-)

Yes thats entirely possible. I just may be projecting my forum use on others. I occassionaly visit the NSW and QLD threads just to see how they are getting on and thats about it for the regionals. I guess others may visit just because something new pops up.

Basic point well demonstrated the morning, come back to the thread there are responses from you and Clarke and 237 views. Anyway it was just my curiosity , I am quite happy to continue on as is.

Had a look at the Hallway site, good times, hope you continue to enjoy it

I think Ken raises a good point, it would be interesting to see the stats if they're available.

I suspect it's a common pattern with most forums though. I'm a regular participant with 2 other forums (non-Jaguar) and it's always the same scenario - a small group of participants among a heap of viewers (or voyeurs!).

Out of all the forums I've found JF unique since it's enabled a very nice group people to meet, and as a core group we have indeed become friends.

Good to raise this Steve, let's see what happens!

hey all, i'm an associate member here as I don't own a Jaguar but my dad does. so I guess that accounts for 1 of the other 200 views. But I have collected enough parts to make up half a Jag! lol

Great! keep acquiring the bits, you'll soon have enough to make up the other half!

Anyway, no need to own a Jag to enjoy being in here, just having an interest in them is enough!

My wife would tell you otherwise, she hears jag forum meet and rolls the eyes. But she always comes along and has a great time socialising.
