Tracus is in Calgary and a few of us in Red Deer. No XFRs among us I'm afraid. X-types for the most part.

Hello Black XFR. I am a new member from Calgary. I joined in December and have a 98 XJR. This is a great site full of info. The only problem is the amount of time one can spend looking at interesting threads

Hello Black XFR. I am also a new member from Calgary. I joined last year when experiencing some issues with my S-Type. I think I've seen your wheels down on 12th Ave. & Center St. once or twice. Received very informative info at this site so far. Very impressed.

Anybody own that new ZKR parked outside of SunLife Plaze DT sometimes? It's absolutely incredible! My Compliments!

We should start a club in both cities.

I'd recommend Todd Cathcart at Sports Car Parts at 5508 4 Street SE. Phone is (403) 640-4411.

After straying away from the dealer, have had success with
British Auto on the one occasion I needed them. They have a website at www.britishauto.ca. Jay and his wife don't run a fancy shop, but the customer comes first and they show genuine concern with the performance of my car.

Just curious - Does anyone else feel that Jag Calgary is really just a Suburu dealership that happens to service Jags on the side? What have your service experiences been like? Good bad or ugly?

Anyone use British Auto Cars for mechanical repairs?

More often than not, I have been disappointed by the service at Jaguar Calgary. As a measure of this, I find myself pleasantly surprised when I go there and everything worked ok! I'd like to see some competition in the city.

I heartily agree! As it is, Jaguar Calgary is the only dealership in the province. So if you live outside of Calgary, you're going to be putting lots of extra miles on your Jag to get service from a dealership. Then potentially add on any extra travel needed when the service is done poorly or if the workmanship is so bad it possibly causes other component failures. I sure could think of a million other places I would rather be driving my Jag rather than back and forth to the dealer and paying the repair bills on top it.

There is still a Jaguar dealership in Edmonton though, isn't there?

You're right, there is according to the Jag Canada website. I know of a Jag owner who travels to Calgary from Edmonton to have his service and repairs done at British Auto. So I had assumed that there was no longer an Edmonton dealer, but there must be another reason for such a personal sacrifice.

Thep - can you ask the Jag owner who travel to Calgary for service at British Auto what he's had done? Engine work, suspension? I had my Jag polished there and was happy with the work, but I want to ensure they give great results on the mechanical side as well, so would like his input..Thx!
