Default Help! With getting history on my new car

Hi, i just got a 1973 jaguar xke v12 roadster, and i'm looking for the best way to get accurate information on the history of the car. Normally you can use a service like CarFax or Autocheck, but given the year of the car and distinct VIN number, those services aren't able to run the history....i'm wondering guys if you know how i can obtain more info on this car. The car is registered in Alberta, Canada.

PS. Here are some pics, the car came from Calgary, Alberta in case anybody recognizes her as well

I assume you want to build up a complete history from new if possible?

Although I can't help with how you would go about tracing previous owners in Canada (easy for us here in the UK because our Driver & Vehicle Licensing Authority can supply a full list of PO names, addresses and dates) but a service offered by JDHT (Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust) may be of interest to you.

Jaguar Heritage. Heritage Certificate

JDHT can provide a Heritage Certificate giving all the relevant information on your car taken from the original records. It will confirm the original numbers and colour scheme, give the dates of build and dispatch, as well as the original destination of the car. Where recorded, the name of the first owner and the original registration mark are also included on the Certificate.

Naturally this comes at a cost! It is currently 45 UKP.

Not sure how it is in Alberta but here in Ontario you can purchase a package from the Ontario Ministry of transport that has all the previous Ontario owners listed in addition to if the car still has any outstanding leans registered against it.
