Why are X351 XJ8s so inexpensive in Toronto?
I am looking around for a Jag for my wife, and found 3 different 2004 XJ8s for $7000-8000 dollars in Toronto. Are these beaters, or????
In BC they'd be 12-15,000.

Sounds about right over here although this one is the 'R' model.

I looked at two XK8s in Toronto before heading south to buy mine. They use more salt on the road than McDonalds uses on their french fries. Both cars I looked at had more Bondo than metal. Check the prices in California you might save enough money to make a nice holiday out of the trip. And you won't need a case of PB Blaster for every minor repair.
Jags are simply cheaper here in Toronto than almost anywhere else in North America.
Been buying Jags for decades and that's the way its always been since i started looking.
And there are some spectacular examples out there, you don't have to buy junk. But what you buy will be a lot less here.
Cheers!

Did you mean anywhere in Canada or all of North America? I look at US prices sometimes with real envy.
