I use paste when working by hand, and liquid when working with a DA. I'll use whatever synthetic I've currently got my hands on, and then follow up with Gold Class.

Default Pinnacle Souverän

I drank the kool aide am very happy with Pinnacle Souverän. Autogeek was correct, this stuff is beyond great. I have had my car for about six months now, the paint was PURRRRRfect and I want to keep it that way. My RX-8 has been getting Maguires or Mothers paste waxings and looks OK. I wanted the best!! So I bit the bullit and purchased a jar of Pinnacle. After the compulsory washing and clay treatment I applied a single coat of Pinnacle by hand. OMG!! What a gorgous finish I ended up with. I then applied a second coat the next day. Well, I live on Panama City Beach, Fl, and to say we have a hot sun is an understatment, but with the sun and rain and salt, this wax job, applied three months ago is still performing like I waxed it yesterday. Pinnacle is expensive but so was my car. I belive Autogeek sells small samples for tryouts.

I've been using Zymol Platinium and am very happy with it. Great shine and it lasts. Worth the price in my opinion.

I have been using Zaino for the last year. I bought the Triplets (All in One, Clear Seal and Grand Finale quick detailer) package. Wicked expensive but it a little of the product goes a long way. It is very easy to use and it lasts. Still plenty of the all-in-one and clear seal. I will have to buy more of the Grand Finale before next Summer.

I find "Mer" superb, but it may only be available in Europe. You can actually put it on a damp car, and polish it when dry.

I like Collinite 845. Inexpensive, you only need a little bit, goes on and comes off really easily, and water beads off for months and months (around 6 for a car that is parked outside).

But I am not a pro, and I have never hand detailed my Jag myself.
