Hazzy light repair
I had the haze on top of my headlights and happened to see a repair kit at Wal-Mart. It was only $16 so I had my doubts but thought I'd give it a try anyway. The kit was called Clear View and consisted of sandpaper (2500 & 1500 grit), some rubbing compound, a polish, and misc materials. It was pretty easy and only took me about 20 minutes total. It will be interesting to see how this holds up over time. I don't have the before picture but here is the after:

They won't last that long without a UV protectant on them!

the cheap lens re conditioning kits have a reasonable UV protection fluid which works ok, just re-apply the fluid every 4 months.

Good info I'm gonna have to go up to my local Wally World. I didnt know they have the headlight restorers. I only have a small area on 2 of my lights that I need to sand and buff but didnt want to buy a 30-40 kit for it. I tried just using compound with my buffer and it didnt come out its gonna take some sanding. If they sell it for 16 thats way more in my budget so I'll pick that up this weekend. I'll take some before and after pics so you can see what I'm talking about cause mine aren't that bad. (ie not hazy or anything)
