Default Like a fine bottle of Merlot......Red red wine...

Here is another project I completed in the last quarter of 2009 ......A very very rare 1931 Cadillac V16 Roadster that I detailed for a private collector. What you have here is nothing but one of the finest vehicles in automobile history IMO....

Beatiful car, great vid be good to know some history (which I guess you can't share) because who would have been able to afford it in the early 1930s)

Go on then I'm prepared to be wrong RR 1927 Phantom

But would it be the 4th or 5th Duke of Sutherland?
A Scotsman owned that beautiful vehicle many years ago

Checked out info on the Rolls Royce site, but nothing of note, just basic info

I found this, from the chassis no.

1932 Rolls-Royce Phantom II Continental With Thrupp & Maberley Sports Tourer coachwork

This most unusual 2-seater, on the short Continental chassis, was built for His Grace, The Duke of Sutherland, who was one of the largest landowners in Scotland. His family also owned the largest private art collection in Great Britain. It was first delivered July 14th 1932. His Grace sold the car in 1937 to another nobleman, Baron F. de Tuyll who used it to win the prestigious Concours de Elegance at Biarritz.

Cheers,
Richard

Default V16

If the owner of the V16 needs any parts my father In Law has many parts available. Pete only works with 1928-1933 LaSalle parts and is the owner of a Madam X. Feel free to check out the link
