Default Tires

Happy New Year all.
I wish this section was more active.
I wanted to report on a new product (new to me) I tried. Mothers FX Engineered Tire Shine. I cleaned my tires and let them dry a little. I couldn't wait any longer. And applied the Mothers Tire Shine. After 4 days they still look like new. It's not really a high gloss shine but a deep rich looking black. I also waxed the wheels and the sliver and rich black coloris giving me that good Jag feeling all over.

What are you using?

Hey Michael,
I use various products. For tyres for me its gotta be wet n black.........a spray on product that last n lasts givin a real deep black wet lookin tyre. Especially nice when the cars all cleaned and polished an the rims are spotless clean too.
I have used newspapers on the windows and they give a fantastic finish iff a bit messy.
Back to black for the inside well rubbed in and buffed off to give the vinyl a shiny lustre.
Tip - for all your vents and hard to reach places use a 1/2" clean paint brush...........egts out all the dust that accumulates sooooooo easily

Michaelnv,
not everybodys cup of tea I know, but, when the rims are all cleaned up like new and the tyres are all black n shiny - There's one thing I have, that I dont know if you've considered?
Jaguar dust caps! Stainless steel to blend in with the rims and a Jaguar Logo on the top...........really sets them off nicely and only £5.00 a set of Ebay!

Hi Michael,
all they are is this.
Imagine you're tyre pressures are low and you have to top them up yeah?
So the first thing you do, is to unscrew the slightly unsightly black plastic dust caps!!
These replacements I am talking about are stainless steel and can either be round or hexagonal in shape, and have a Jaguar Logo / or Leaper on the top. Quite a nice finish to a nice set of rims and they dont cost the earth either.

I've been using Detailer's Pride (DP) Gloss Tire Gel. It works great! Easy to apply and it doesn't sling. I also use the DP Wheel Glaze to make wheel cleaning easier. As soon as my DP Gloss Tire Gel gets near empty I'm going to try the Wolfgang Black Diamond Tire Gel as I hear great things about the product.

For the wheel wells I use Amor All Tire foam. It is easy to spray on the wheel wells and it keeps them black.

Good idea to use the Armourall Tyre foam on the wheel wells red.........There's nothing worse than a nice clean shiny lookin car, tyres all blacked and rims shiny...........dirty wheel wells!!!!
Its those finishing touches that sets the whole thing off
