Touch up paint tips HOW TO
#23
Just found something that actually works. Purchase the touch up through Jaguar and apply it as best as possible. Yes, it is thick and won't look great when you apply it. Let it cure for a few days maybe a week if you have the patience. Wet sand the touch up areas with 2000 grit paper ( I know it's scary) to take down high spots and blend touch up to surrounding paint/clear coat.
Now, with a D A polisher and orange pad use Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover. Wolfgangs easily takes out 2000 grit scratches without harming surrounding areas. Results are incredible! Follow up with some Wolfgangs glaze with a blue pad and wow!
Never knew touch up could be done so well and easily. The cons are Wolfgangs Swirl Remover and Glaze (2- 8oz bottles) runs around $55.00 from Partsgeek. However, for the job it does it's worth every penny.
After touch up procedure use the swirl remover and glaze on the rest of your vehicle. The results are very impressive even for a perfectionist like myself.
