Default 2.7D EGR removal warm up time

I'm thinking of blanking off the EGR valves on my 2.7D and wonder if it will make the engine take much longer to warmup when running in 30MPH / 50KMH traffic. Given that the exhaust is cooled by the cooling system before it enters the intake manifold that must result in quicker warming up of a cold engine?
Has anyone who's blanked off their EGR noticed a difference?

No replies so I'll answer this once I've driven the car for a while. Its aggravated as I think my thermostat is stuck slightly open so that will be getting replaced next.

No replies because I guess no-one knows, you'll find out soon enough though.

What sort if thermostat sticks partly open? Usually a stuck thermostat is closed and things run hot, or are they different in diesels?

Dunno, but the needle sits just below normal unless it climbs the harbour bridge then it goes up to normal before dropping back down as it coasts down the other side. ODB tells me its sitting around 78-80 at idle.
I've had this before back in my 1400CC Mini Based Kitcar days. Back then the stat got lazy.
