Default 2021 e-pace p250 se

My wife wants a new car and out of all the 2021's she likes the epace best. We went to the dealer today to check it out in person. She loved it even more, but they sold the model that she wanted. Specifically the brown leather interior, she didn't want black or white. Memory seat, cold weather package, and the glass roof were also required.

The sales guy disappeared and found one at another dealer that had just been delivered. Portofino blue, caraway grained leather with ebony/caraway interior. Homelink, 19" 5 spoke satin dark grey wheels, split rim leather steering wheel, fog lights, heated steering wheel/windshield/washer jets, 12 way heated memory seats. Watched a few videos on youtube and she's in love.

Is there anything I should watch out for these? I know the 2021 is a big revamp and there's not much history on them yet. My 2008 xkr is a joy to drive, but has had it's expensive problems. It's for my wife though, which means it should be a bit more reliable. It is new so hopefully the warranty should cover for the first 5 years.

Default Reliable

I have a 2018 First Edition also for my wife. It’s been very reliable. Nothing except a new battery due to lack of mileage. Replaced under warranty. The app for remote starting is kinda funky, but that’s it . She likes it very much, it handles well in the snow. She wants to keep it or get another, it’s a lease. I’m not sure about long term reliability, but I had a 1997 XJ6L for 18 years…….

If only I could find the one I want for sale. My dealer can't get anything in through dealer trades. So I may have to make the 3 hour drive to the nearest dealer that has what I want.

I was interested in getting a 21, P300, in black. Reached out to my dealer. They said that they would attempt to get one from another dealer, but for some reason that never went anywhere. After about a month, they had a build spot open up. I took that but regret that a bit. I could not work any deal. I am also having to wait until Jan (hopefully). Though I am getting the one that I want, which is always a plus.

I wouldn't hold your breath on dealer trades. Apparently no one is doing them right now. I had to drive a hundred miles to the dealer that had the one I wanted. And the car is 10/10, I wouldmake the drive again. The car has been fantastic. The P300 personally I wouldn't spend the extra 10k on. The P250 is a rocket. It's not as quick as my xkr but honestly, it's probably not that far off.

Getting the SE version is something I would do again given the choice, 10/10 times. The pivi pro system is completely fantastic with it's 4g connectivity giving me live sattelite maps for gps, and remote start via the Jaguar remote app. The live view rear view mirror is an option i thought i was getting but wouldn't use. I was wrong. It is fantastic, and really opens up the visibility for the rear view mirror, utilizing a camera on the rear shark fin. The meridian premium sound system is fantastic as well, producing a very rich sound. Honestly I can't say enough good things about this car.

Yep. I gave up waiting on a dealer trade. Did you Jaguar Build option...which at least reserves a future E-Pace for me. Now just waiting on that build to come through. I did have the P250SE. You are right that it was fun to drive and peppy, but I wanted extra. I did come from an Infiniti G37, so there was a big drop. The price is more, but I am going from paying $52K to $57K. Not that big of a jump. Plus all the extras my wife had me add that I did not get before.
