E-Pace passenger window mechanism replaced, but window won't stay closed!
Hi- the wire snapped on my passenger window mechanism- I replaced with a used part from a breaker.
It all went well.
Window will open fully and stops in the open position correctly.
If I then close the window, it gets to the fully closed position and immediately opens and goes down about half way.
I can only close it by toggling the switch to slowly raise the window a slight amount each time and stop it just before it sits snuggly.
As soon as there is a certain amount of resistance it opens again!
Obviously, I can't do the window reset of holding button down for 10 seconds and then holding button up for 10 seconds because it just opens again!
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Welcome to the forums Mongoose21,
Please post any further E-Pace specific question in the relevant MODEL forum:

Your description of events suggests the anti-trap feature is activating. The lift motor still powering when the glass reaches the top channel which is detected as an obstruction and the glass automatically drops. Go back over your removal/replacement procedure to ensure you've replicated the original relative positions of guides and glass.
Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.
