I have left
I am sorry to say that I have, at least temporarily, left the Jaguar E-Pace family. I had a MY20 250. I really liked it and enjoyed having it. The one thing that was lacking was the power. I had come from a sports sedan that had over 300 HP and I was missing it.
In June, I started to look for a MY21 300. I found a couple in the US, but nothing local enough to drive to. I went to my local dealer to talk about getting one of these from another lot. The dealer got me excited about a build slot and I jumped on his one spot. I traded my MY20 and started to wait.
Of course, the supply shortage hit and my new E-Pace got delayed until Jan. I was fine with that. Then the parts started to get removed. I was still fine until the 3D camera got removed. I started to talk to the dealer about delaying my build so that I could get what I wanted. This could not happen through the dealer. I started to talk about other options...next thing you know my build was canceled. Personally I think the dealer wanted the slot for another customer.
So, I was out a vehicle to drive and no more build slot. That meant looking for something new. With the supply shortage, that really meant looking the lots. I wound up moving to BMW and getting a X3 M40i. I do miss the E-Pace but I also dont regret the move.

I have a 2018 first edition lease up in March. I’ve been contacted by the dealer several times to trade with no good choices. At this point I’m looking at other brands as well or just buying this one with 7k on it. Obviously the financials are not good but my wife likes the epace.
It is a hard time to be in the vehicle market as a buyer right now. The more affordable range is missing features due to the supply chain issues. Manufacturers are putting those parts into the more profitable models. That means either getting something with less than expected or buying up in the range. Inventories are also still low. This is driving price up. Though, it is very fluid right now. Deleted items get added back and new things get deleted. Lots get new units when they become available.
Selling is easier. This might mean getting out of your lease by selling yourself. But keeping your lease might not be that bad giving that buying is not going to be the deal that you would want. Even new leases are tough to get a good deal on.
If I had been paying more attention, I would have not moved from my E-Pace so soon. I took the trade deal at the time because it was good and at the time the new E-Pace was three months out. Of course that was not accurate and I was out a vehicle.

I wouldn't mind a few more horses myself but really like the car over all. Anyone tried an after market tune or chip to increase power? My wife's Alfa Romeo Stelvio has 280 hp and besides riding on rails it has plenty of get up and go. Those engine's can be tuned to well over 300 hp and would expect the E Pace 2.0 to be able to give a bit more as well.
