Hello all. I am a newbie here.
I bought a 2015 V6 certified pre-owned 3 weeks ago. Now when I took delivery of the car it was showing that the tire monitoring system needed service. Now you have to under stand the dealer I bought the car from was 100 miles away driving on the socal 91. Which has nothing over the 405, but I digress. So they delivered me this car with this on. I know I know I should of made them fix it. (My wife had told me all about it).

Now I take the car to my local dealer to get this fixed. Now the problem is the selling dealer replaced one of the sensors with the wrong sensor. The local dealer replaces sensor and problem solved. Well not so much. The car is fine but I can't get my car back unless I pay the local dealer. Now why should I pay to fix a certified pre-owned owned that I have had for 3 weeks that was delivered to me with the problem? So now the selling dealer is refusing to pay the local dealer for the repair. The tab is 760.00. You would think this is a no brainer. I am still without my car. Any suggestions?

Assuming the CPO warranty is from Jaguar (and not the selling dealer), I would contact Jaguar.

Yes, it is Jaguar certified pre-owned.

$760 to replace a sensor is ridiculous. Even at the absurd dealer price of $150 for the part, labor shouldn't have run more than another $50. And yes, the Ortega Highway is what the F-Type was built for.

OK, I talked with Jaguar and received a case number. Lets see if this will help. I just don't understand the mentality of the selling dealer (which by the way is Jaguar Anaheim Hills). Seems to me that paying to have there mistake repaired and the car returned to the customer should be the priority. Is this typical Jaguar dealers customer service?

By the way the car is still under the new car warranty.

It would be a priority if they cared about you, which they don’t. If they send you $760 it comes out of their profit margin, if it comes out of either warranty it comes out of Jaguar’s.

My impression is that this goes on all the time, moving the expense from prep to warranty. Happened to me too. Remarkable what they find on that first servicing that they can now charge to Jaguar.

As I posted once. before. It’s an industry built on larceny.

I agree. It is a industry built on larceny, and they don't give a damn about the customer.

Anaheim Hills is owned by Rusnak in Pasadena. I won't comment further.
You might want to check out Alvarez in Riverside.

Ok, This should be a wrap up. Talking with all these car dealers I had had enough of the runaround. I went to Rancho Mirage and let them know where the Bear *****. I am to have my car delivered today at my office. (Lets hope so). Bottom line was dealer #1 had put in the wrong tire sensor. Dealer #2 replaced said sensor with the proper sensor broadcasting proper MgHz or whatever. Dealer #2 wants Dealer #1 to pay, dealer #1 states this is a warranty. etc, etc, etc. Round and round. Bill 760. 105 in parts and a whopping 606 in labor the rest taxes. 606 labor to replace a tire sensor. Sheeshs. No i did not pay. The dealers are still fighting. I in brief told them all of this is not my problem, I am not going to be in the middle. So car should be here by noon.
