Default Jaguar remote service indication

My 2019 e pace (2650 miles) is sending messages to my remote app on my phone telling me a service is due ? The car has no indication only on the phone. I have re installed the remote app twice, but still get SERVICE DUE ALLERT. Anyone any ideas.

Welcome to the forums billm69,

I've moved your question from General Tech Help to E-Pace forum. Members here with the same model will be able to help.

Jaguars are serviced on a TIME or MILEAGE basis. E-Pace service interval is 24 MONTHS/21K MILES for the diesel and 12 MONTHS/16K MILES for the petrol - whichever comes first in each case. You don't mention engine type or PDI date in your psot.

Please follow this link New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST forum and post some information about yourself and your vehicle for all members to see. In return you'll get a proper welcome and some useful advice about posting to the forum.

Keep in mind, service interval is formulated with two goals in mind a) ensure the car makes it out of warranty without suffering catastrophic engine failure due to lack of maintenance b) reduce lifetime emissions to meet certain regulations, where oil changes count the same way tail pipe emissions would. This means that service interval is absolutely longest you should go between oil changes, and you should probably consider doing it more frequently.

Last consideration - the very first oil change should be done even earlier. Break-in produces more metal/particles than normal wear, this happens during first couple 1000 driven. Leaving such oil for the entire maximum change interval is a bad idea.
