I have a customer's 1972 2+2 with a faulty vacuum adv/retard unit.
I have the new part and I will install it this week.
I can't remember the timing specs because I have not had to do this in 20 years.

Can someone help me remember how to set the timing on the 5.3 Litre (Degrees BTDC @ 3000 RPM??????)

I have the repair manual for the 3.8/4.2 but not for the 5.3 'E' Type

I also have the repair manual for the XJ-S 5.3 but that is for the D Jetronic and P Jetronic fuel systems and is probably different from the STROMBERG carb version.
