Hi can anyone throw some light on my question which is how do you remove the seats from a Series 1.5 E-Type? My seats don’t appear to have much travel from furthest forward to furthest back. When furthest forward, there are 2 cross head screws at the back of the seat runners but where are the others? The seats do not slide far enough backwards to reveal the seat runners or any signs of floor fastenings! Any help greatfully received.

 

just un-do the screws at the rear of each seat track and lift out toward the rear. The front of the track catches on fittings that screw in the floor if I remember correctly.

 

That's right. They are quite easy to get out. Slide the seat forward as far as you can to access those rear screws, undo them, then slide back as far as you can and they should just lift off and can be taken out the doors.
