Default Drivers Handbook revisions

Anyone out there with all of the original documentation still in the car. Look at the maintenance chart revision and at the handbook revision. Do they match? I do not care the year just want to know what there normal procedure was.
I have an early 68 OTS that was missing the original handbook. Jag had two revisions that year. I procured a 145/1 which matches my Maintenance Chart 145/1. I do not know if when they put the 145/2 in the car if the changed the Chart. The Heritage guys can not tell me when they made the revision switch.

In more than forty years of owning Jaguars, I can't recall any of them having a document set with identical version numbers across each of the publications.

Jaguar have always revised individual handbooks / supporting documents as required.

The motor industry was more casual in the 1960's and Lyons was a notoriously careful man with money. I'd expect the 145/2 revision would go in the cars only when copies of the 145/1 had all been used!

You are probably right, the thing here is this is a transitional period. 67-69, and they were probably changing things on the fly due to the requirements of the U.S. pollution guide lines.

Yes.

I recall that both Jaguar and Aston Martin were having a very difficult time complying with US regulations at that time.

It goes beyond the 1960s

I have 80s vintage Jaguar owners handbooks and shop manuals where the latest editions contain the very same errors as the earliest editions and/or don't acknowledge various production/specification changes.

The thing I was wondering was "did they change the maintenance chart at the same time as the handbook?

Hi,
Not sure if this is what you're seeking, but, both my lube chart and Operating Maintenance and Service Book are the same codes. "E/131/5"
