Default E type oil pan installation

I have the engine out of my 67 E type as the pan was cracked. I obtained a new oil pan and I am in the process of installing it. I bought a oil pan gasket kit which came with a cork rear seal and I noticed the old one on there was rubber. Is the cork one ok to use and do you suggest a silicone on the cork seal before installation.

Kev,

If Im correct theres 4 gaskets in total for the sump pan.

1 for either of the long side , 1 cork and 1 rubber 1 for each end in the circular section.
