E-Type S3 Air Conditioning Wiring Question
The quick question: there is a pair of wires (Red-White and Red-Black) coming from the air conditioning evaporator (under-dash unit) in the 1973 Series 3 E-Type. Where do those wires attach to?
Background and detail:
When I bought the car five years ago, it had been resurrected after sitting in the owner's garage for 35+ years. He died and his heir got the car back on the road. In that process the A/C was removed from the car by the restoring mechanic. The condenser, evaporator, compressor, drier and hoses were removed and never seen again. But the wiring harness, resistor and mounting points remained.
I decided (probably foolishly) to restore A/C to the car. After a long search, I was able to source the necessary parts from Stew Jones. (off topic: Stew is a very interesting and inspirational figure in E-Type S3 history. I've included a couple of links below that I recommend you view if you haven't seen them.) In any event, I've got pretty much everything installed. Condensor, compressor, drier, hoses, evaporator. I thought I had all the wiring and routing figured out in advance, but now I find that there are these two wires coming out of the under-dash evaporator unit, and I don't know what they are or where to connect them. Can't seem to suss it out from the wiring diagram either. So any guidance would be appreciated. Once I get that done I'll be ready to evacuate and charge the system. Fingers crossed...
Even if it doesn't blow cold, I'll be happy to have the original hardware in place for future figuring out...

I'm going to answer my own question here just in case it helps someone else. Those wires weren't actually coming from the evaporator unit. They were coming from behind the instrument panel. Nothing to do with air conditioning - they are the wires to the resistor for the instrument lights. No wonder I couldn't find them in the A/C section of the wiring diagram!
