Default fuel dripping from front of stromberg

68 with dual strombergs. Car starts and runs well. Fuel is dripping out of the orifice with the arrow pointing to it when running.. Any one have any ideas what could cause this? I checked the diapram is intact & the dashpot has oil. (theres an aftermarket oval air filter base show in photo)

Check your float. It is sunk or partially sunk. Also check the diaphragm for tears now with all that fuel. Best of luck!

2 things regulate the height of the little reservoir of fuel in the bowl of the carb; the needle valve & the float. As fuel flows into the bowl, & it's level rises, the float (which literally floats on the pool of fuel) rises. As the float rises it presses against the needle valve, which at some point shuts off the flow of fuel. If those do not work properly the fuel rises too far, or continues to rise unabated, so that it spills out where it can (into the engine or out the hole you pointed to). So, either (1) your floats are not floating (cracked open); (2) needle valve is worn (my bet); (3) float simply not set to correct height.
