Default Jaguar Putting E-Type Back Into Production

You don't see this often but in 1964 there was a production of 18 planned racing E-Types but the run was suspended after 12 cars of which 11 are known to still exist. Jaguar just announced they will complete the run to spec of 18 so 6 more brand spanking new E-Types to 1964 racing spec. I expect these will price out well into 6 figures.

We'll likely have to change the E-Type range to 2014 now...

"What? Me worry?" My '67 is sorted out by now! Well...closer to "worn out by now", actually. I'm just jealous at the prospect of a NEW E-Type!

Since it managed 170 mph (274) from its 344 bhp (257 kW) engine ...
Makes you wonder why the current crop needs to weigh two tons.

The service manual makes these things look like a never ending tweaker's delight.

Imagine not only greasable, but rebuildable ball joints.
