Joan Baez flat floor series I e-type roadster
I ran across a story on this roadster, which was silver metallic, bought by her just when she was becoming a big star. In some documentary on Joan, you see the songstress in the car. Anyway that bad girl didn't pay her taxes (maybe as a protest against the Vietnam war) and the car was confiscated by authorities in Monterey County,Ca and sold. I wonder if anyone has a news story or ad that tells what the car sold for back then? I am only interested in the prices it changed hands for in its early days as I know today it is in the over $100,000 class if it survives.
That was in 1962, listed as going to Robert Talbot manufacturer of neckties, and either opalescent blue or silver, last reported in South Carolina, but registered as 1962 so it wasn't the Baez flat floor LHD roadster.
