Default My E-type rebuid

Hey everyone. Spending some time with my old girl trying to get her on the road again one day. Theres so much to learn, and in the mean time was hoping to throw up some curiosities I need to research and see what you guys think. I'm trying to look this stuff up, but there is so much to look up lol. Anyways thanks for any help!

67 Series 1 ots

1. Whats this thing stuck to the side of the radiator?

2. What does this hydraulic line attach to?

3. Whats this under dash switch?

4. What is this?

5. Where do I begin.. I think these are horn wires but which, how, the other..?

(1)?
(2)?
(3)?
(4)?
(5)Jumps to 10
(6)Jumps to 11
(7)Ground
(8)?
(9)Ground
(10)Jumps to 5
(11)Jumps to 6

6. Taped GRN/BLU wire by carb?

7. The Bundle.

8. Near the gas tank

WHT?
GRN?
BLK (Needs to be grounded?)

9. Linkage but no controls on the outside of the cabin black fan box?

10. Unknown wires sharing loom with coil.

11. Busted hose between VC and firewall.

I will be trying my best to answer these questions and many others, if any of you want to offer app 411, I would be grateful. I've got so much to learn before spark meets petrol again!

Thanks all!

Looks like Charlie Allthumbs got to your car before you ! From your pics it all looks like things added after Jaguar sold the car, apart from that 2nd photo which shows something that goes to a fluid tank of some sort. If the pic showed a little more of the surrounding area it would help. A loose switch under the dash is clearly not a Jaguar fitment !

All the Jaguar wiring will follow the British standard of the time: -

Thanks for the reply bud, I appreciate it. Unfortunately you're incorrect. Most if not all of that stuff is factory. All the tomthumbery, and yes there was a ton has been pre removed prior to the pictures. All these are factory items. Thanks for the schematic I cant wait to blow it up and print it!!

Here is some input that I hope helps but don't trust it as infallible.
1. Got me.
2. Assuming that is the clutch reservoir shown, it goes to the clutch master cylinder input.
3. Looks like the headlight dimmer switch.
4. Receptacle for the hazard flasher.
5. Wire 3 or 4 brings 12 volts from the horn relay. The other carries it to the right hand horn and comes out of the bundle as wire 8.
6. Maybe to the oil pressure sender; it is the right color.
7. The bundle contains interconnects from the wiper switch to motor. There seem to be various connection schemes with different switches and wiring. Best to leave it alone if it works.
8. Fuel gauge sender.
9. A steel cable connects this lever to air on-off dash switch.
10. Wires to the otter switch.
11. Vacuum port on intake manifold.

Wanted to correct my previous response. Item 11: not sure what this is. Since it is rubber, I guess it is a coolant hose but I do not know from where. There is a vacuum line in this area from the fire wall to a 3-way connector but it is normally a woven tube. Bill

Item 9 has no connection because the same box was used on RHD vehicles and the box was on the R side, The cable was then attached to the other side of the box
