Default Radiator Cooling Fans

I am wondering if anyone can tell me where to find the Cooling fans relay? I am having some wiring issues and my fans aren't functioning correctly. I am also wondering if someone can tell me more about the fans. Are they supposed to be running all the time or just when the engine reaches certain temperatures? Are both fans supposed to run simultaneously, or does only one kick on until a higher temperature is reached in the radiator and then the other engages? Any information will be helpful.

Not sure about the Series 2 but on the Series 3 they're on top of the radiator.

They are located on the front frame on the RR side. It or they (if AC is fitted) are on a small bracket directly in front of the distributor about 12 inches.

Thank you, I found it. Can you tell me more about the operation of them. Are both fans supposed to run all the time when the ignition is on or do they run intermittently based on temperature?

The fan relay reacts to temp which comes from the OTTER switch on the front of the radiator (top RH side). The second relay is an over ride relay that turns on fans when AC is selected regardless of engine temp. If you do not have a workshop manual and or handbook we suggest you purchase one.

I replaced my Lucas relay with a Bosch type. This is the diagram I used ("CoolCats"). Hope it helps ...
