Spokes problem, 1970 Jag XKE
Heres long story short. My grandfather loved his jaguar the whole time he had it, 1970 jaguar XKE. He past away two years ago and ever since its been pretty much rotting away, sitting in the garage. My grandmother, who now owns, can't drive manual and is pretty much scared of it so she never drives it. I start it every now and then but never really move it.
Today I noticed that the front tire was absolutely flat. It has the same wheel as in this picture,http://sturtevant.com/reed/etype5.jpg and one of the bars is missing, and in both places where the bar should touch, it is leaking air.
What should be done? I'm not completely useless with cars, but I don't know much at the moment unfortuantly, I am taking an autobody class though. I have a jack and some candles, unfortuanly, no way to drive it anywhere. Comments/suggestions?

RE: Spokes problem, 1970 Jag XKE
i would take off the wheel and take it to a motorcycle shop and see if the could fix it ,im just getting in to a 63 e type that my grandfather left to me as well so hope for the best.ps i would take the wheel off with a 2x4 long ways to the spoke hub and us it like a chissel and it might be a revers tread so be careful , hit the 2x4 with the hammer just to get it loose. The wood will not put dents in the soft metal rather than hittting it metal to metal.
