68 series 1.5..For the last few months sometimes when the ignition key was turned all I got a click sound. Then after I turned the key a few times the starter would turn and the car would start. This morning im only getting the click sound and no starter activation. The click is coming from both relays that are located near the battery. When I put my hand on both of them I can feel the click .Battery is fully charged and headlights operate. Any ideas?

 

Try tapping the starter with the handle of a screwdriver and see if it engages. If so, the starter is faulty.

 

I tapped on the starter and it starts now...must be a bad solenoid or starter. Going to install a gear reduction starter for $200.
