I watch the resto-mods that show up on eBay and there are actually a few Jaguars that show up from time to time (there are 4 at the moment I'm following). Since I'm doing one myself I like to see what others have done for ideas. One interesting idea is to replace the old 6 with a new 6 to maintain some consistency (clearly not what I'm doing). Well, apparently, someone bought one of the last of the supercharged Jaguar 6s with a matching transmission (5-speed) and was going to put it in his E-Type. Then someone gave him a really good offer for the E-Type and now he's left with the engine and wants to sell it, not a bad price (if it is in as good shape as he says). I'd be tempted but I'm too far along with the V8 and, if I pivot, it will likely be to an electric motor, not a 6.
